Based on this half-complete drawing, you can probably guess where last weekend’s Dungeon Crawl Classics game ended up finishing…

Also, here’s a photo where I get all meta (if you follow my +Dyson Logos account on google+, you may know about my love of Googly Eyes).

On a somewhat unrelated note… when I was twelve, I thought ‘keep on the borderlands’ suggested that the purpose of the module was that players would somehow maintain a course of action that kept them on the borderlands – if they could not ‘keep on the borderlands’, then they would somehow fail in their quest. When I learned that ‘keep’ was another word for ‘fortress’, a whole bunch of stuff made sense.
For me, the Keep was my first experience with the Gygaxian glossary. I had been playing D&D for a couple of years, but when I received my first copy of Basic with this adventure, I finally had all these words explained to me.
