Cut into the side of Dwyer’s Bluff, Duke Philip’s Hold stood the tests of time and war and did not fall until after the war with the Kale was over. Only then did one of the sons of Duke Philip, Sir Embraugh Philip, manage to take the hold through treachery and stealth – having slowly moved people in his trust into various lowly positions within the hold.

Unfortunately for him, the people of Duke Philip’s domain were somewhat enamoured with the dead Duke, and rose against Sir Embraugh, killing him while he was touring the local watch towers.

The people then ransacked the hold and several families moved into it, only to be ousted in turn by a pair of hill giants who have now allied themselves with local bandits.
