I guess I’m out voted here, but I like the classic. It’s more to the point of classic RPG and so much more legible. Yea, the others can be tweaked, but the classic POPS OUT BAM… right out in your face! The new ones are distracting. Simple is better. I did always wonder though why there wasn’t a D12 in the banner. D4, D6, D8 and D20, but no dodecahedron. Hmm… Conspiring minds want to know.
I like the classic the best. Apparently I’m in a significant minority. Otherwise the white middle eastern castle one has a “Basic D&D”
feel to it. With any of the new headers your blog title will need the contrast turned up.
I’m voting for something hand-drawn by Dyson logos; perhaps an excerpt from his most popular map. This seems like a no-brainer to me; none of the others are even remotely representative of the actual vast majority of content on this blog!
For me, I would stay with original header…. its something easy to identify, Dyson. As stated in a previous comment… Simple is better.
That being said…. I also like the Orange warriors on the battlefield; reminds me of classic Heavy Metal art which is very “old school” as is the mapping/gaming style you represent here on this site. A slight modification of the lettering to make it easier to read and it would be abso-fantasi-rific!!
The middle two are the best – they look like something from a fantasy strip in Metal Hurlant.
I like them all! The “Orange warriors on the battlefield” might have a slight edge only because the text stands out a little better on that one.
I voted for the clashing warriors, but the orange ones are cool, too, and the text in that one is slightly better to read…

I vote for the old header, but if you are going with a new one go with #3.

Go with the green one. Could very nearly be a Pre-Raphaelite painting. Is by far the best, no question!
May I ask who the artist was for ‘Orange warriors on the battlefield’ and ‘Warriors clash in front of the white castle’? Those really REALLY rock!

Yes! Why didn’t I say that?
Voted 3, but either 2 or 3 would be great. Definitely not 1, not in this day an age. Just re-enforces far too many stereotypes.
– Neil.
I like the first, but I’m a sucker for homages to the Pulp Era of Science Fantasy.
Another fan of 2 or 3. Voted 2, but they’re both neat.
I’m going to say go with a map. I was redrawing my blog title as a map a while back, but I lost interest. Still your really should put a map up top.

Seem’s like orange is your colour!
I would personally stick with the original, but if I have to choose I would go with the orange warriors.
