A series of twisting caverns descend into the hills near Kevan’s Ford. Known as Kevan’s Depths, these caverns have been home to rebellious partisan fighters, wandering morlocks, a tribe of goblins, and even used as a secret storehouse for Kevan’s Ford during times of war.
However, in recent years the population of Kevan’s Ford has fallen down to a few dozen people who mostly work in and around Kevan’s Roadhouse and the caverns have been abandoned and mostly forgotten, being nearly an hour’s walk into the brush south of the ford.
But obviously the caverns didn’t forget Kevan’s Ford. When the party approaches Kevan’s Ford, the roadhouse is abandoned, the people slain. And the trail of death leads back to the caverns…
Is the party brave (or foolhardy) enough to find out what is behind the rampage?

Kevan’s Depths
If you have a hankering for more hand drawn maps in this style, check out Dyson’s Delves – a book of maps, dungeons and adventures that I’m selling to pay for my internet connectivity (without it, I wouldn’t be able to come online to post stuff like this).
Once again, you have me shouting praise about your maps! Your trademark use of multiple elevations is clearly demonstrated here and is a major reason I keep coming back to your site. Thanks for the awesomeness, Dyson!
I see a pack of jackalweres occupying this complex. They have assumed human shape and attempt to persuade the party that they are survivors of the roadhouse massacre. However, the jackalweres seek only to ease the suspicions of the party until they can employ their gaze attacks and kill the interlopers!
Nice. Very very nice.
in my mind the jackalweres are a very good choice, thx to remember me of this good creatures i used in past, too.
big smile as DM
In my dungeon the party were there meet one familiy of 2 jackalwere and there jackals, they overcome the cold iron allergy against the jackalwere after they found and use an old rusty spate in the same complex, so the group get there chance and fortunatly win the battle this day…
I like the backstory, this map reminds me of the spider cave in the night elf starting area of WoW. Multiple levels of natural caverns on the same map is underused it seems. Good work!
Every now and then I think I should check out an MMORPG just to see what the dungeon design is like. Then I realize that I would certainly get addicted to them and would never get around to designing dungeons.
