I post a fair number of small dungeons here, but rarely include the entrance to said. In the past few weeks I’ve drawn a bunch of fairly small (fitting on an index card) single-level dungeons, and realized I should actually include a surface level for at least one of them.
The Daeriun Ruins are the crumbling remains of an ancient elaborate fortress or palace, long destroyed and abandoned and now slowly being submerged by the rising topsoil. In fact, it is only a matter of years before the small river running through the ruins overflows and begins flowing into the underground structures.
This map was drawn in black gel pen on plain white printer paper without a backing grid. It is available here for you to stock on your own blog if you like, under the gentleperson’s agreement that it will be used on your blog or in your personal games, but won’t be used in any other commercial or non-commercial product. If you do use it and stock it on your blog (using whatever system), let me know and I’ll promote it here!

Glad you are back Dyson. If someone took one of these, dropped it onto a tablet and then annotated it with popup notes in say good reader they would have a fine adventure ready at the flick of a finger! Just saying. That there is even better than a one page dungeon!
Like the scary face of the man wth the 2 upraised arms
I was very confused what you were talking about, sevendarks, until I looked again and managed to see it. Hilarious. You have a wacky imagination.
Anyways pretty cool, Dyson. Very simple top-level entrance.
I am happy to see your works once more
The maps that you create are always fantastic!
I think the idea of index card levels connected by an index card for context and relative layout is very cool.
Do you think it would be possible to make a .pdf of the Erdea Manor? I’m having a terrible time trying to find all the keyed descriptions…
The first two levels are in the last published issue of the Dodecahedron.
One day I’ll post the other two levels as the next Dodecahedron issue.

Love this map. I’d be really excited to see you do more wilderness-themed maps of this sort.
