Ancient Temple of Torrel
Another multi-level pencil-drawn dungeon map this week – one I haven’t had the opportunity to use yet myself.
Drawn in HB #2 pencil on plain white paper laid over a grid guide sheet. Scanned and contrast enhanced.
The ancient temple itself is partially in ruins now, with collapsed sections on levels 2 and three. Also, the design gives the party two routes to get to level 3, through two unconnected parts of level 2. There is also a completely unconnected pair of rooms on level 2 designed to be accessed via teleporter. I have the teleporter in one of the three alcoves in the isolated south west side of level 2, but really it’s up to you.

I like it and will be stocking it and placing it in my new campaign tonight. Thanks!
Hello Dyson, long time lurker here. First let me say that your maps are practical and very eye catching.
You mention that you lay a plain piece of paper over a grid guide sheet. Two questions: where can i get a grid guide sheet, or is this simply a printed grid on a piece of paper, and if so how do you see the grid through the paper? When i want to trace a map I have a light underneath a glass desk. I suppose this would work similarly with graph paper under the plain white paper, but i’m intrigued by your mention of a grid guide sheet.
Just wanted to let you know how great your maps are! Very inspiring, quality stuff.
Cheers, Marcus
I very much like how 2 is bifurcated and that allows a party that chooses to go down one stair on 1 to come up the other stair on 1. Nice vertical loop!
