First of all, this ad:

Star Frontiers - TSR's Latest, Greatest Science Fiction Thriller!
That’s right, folks. Join the Galactic Legions! And pretend that they are a force that exists in Star Frontiers! Ahh… cheesy cartoon ad is cheesy.
While we play(ed) a pretty “core rules” version of Star Frontiers (except for combat damage, where all weapons and attacks deal 1d10 extra damage), there are a lot of options to expand your Star Frontiers game. The best of which is that they are still being produced to this day in “The StarFrontiersman”, a wicked (and occasionally massive) fan publication with new rules and materials for your Star Frontiers game.
Plus you can download the games rules from the site in case your own copy has worn out or you have a player or two who don’t have copies of their own.
So head over to the Star Frontiersman:
Back in the day I played a lot of SF. I had recently read Neuromancer and HardWired, so my games always had a distopian, corporate espionage and intrigue feel to them. Such a great game. I really hope to play it again some day.
Love that ad! I’ found Star Frontiersman a while back and it’s great stuff. Someone needs to do a Galactic Legion write-up!
Glad you like the site, it and the webzine are labors of love…
You can find more products we’re working on over at dwdstudios.com, though in truth the only projects in widespread circulation so far are the webzines and remastered rulesset (which could use a remastering of their own, by the way!).
We’re also hard at work on FrontierSpace, a new science fiction RPG that (we hope) captures the same feel as this age-old favorite while incorporating the most popular concepts from the pages of the ongoing webzine and some new concepts from our own imaginations (and cumbersome playtesting!)
Okay, that was as shameless plug! hahahaha
Anyway – I appreciate the nod and look forward to producing more content in support of this old favorite. Star Frontiers was (and is) great!
