The Ingram 66 Special, made with Pimp My Gun

The Ingram 66 Special, made with Pimp My Gun

I enjoy looking at “gunporn” – being pretty pictures of guns (not regular porn with guns). I like games with lots of guns (and yet I mostly play D&D). Two sites that come to mind immediately when thinking about RPGs and GunPorn are the classic BlackHammer CyberPunk Project which had a whole bunch of “new” guns for the CyberPunk RPG that were photoshopped together from modern firearms and then statted out, and the same author’s “GunPorn” website which consists of nice pictures of real world firearms and a brief blurb about each one.

But there’s a new kid in town that combines both.

Pimp My Gun is a flash program that lets you build a gun from a bunch of parts of real guns, then take a screenshot of it and – presto – you have a new cool-looking firearm for your CyberPunk, Shadowrun or any other edge of tomorrow RPG. From handguns and subguns like the Ingram 66 Special above, to totally overblown monstrosities like the Tavor 2038 (with grenade launcher) below.

My compliments to the author, “DoctorNoob” of DoctorNoob.com and to Mr Teufel who posted this awesomeness on RPG.net on Saturday.
